After the Rain
Well, it had to happen sooner or later. The Nokia 5610 XpressMusic is being shipped back to WOM World. (Many thanks to them for the trial use of the 5610.) Thankfully, I still have some photos left to post from the 5610, which gives me ample time to beg for another trial phone. I’ve been spoiled with the 3.2 mega-pixels. Nokia 5800 anyone?
Howard Roark was a Spider
This is a great time of year to capture spider webs because we get a lot of fog in the morning. When I say fog, I’m talking about the type that’s like rain in suspended animation. The thick and damp fog with low visibility. However, with this low visibility comes high visibility.
And if you aren’t sure who Howard Roark is, go here and be enlightened.
More fog in upcoming days. Happy Friday!
Weathered Water Faucet
Something unusual happened this weekend. I was offline nearly the entire time. I was online maybe 30 minutes in about 60 hours. I read a book (All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten), spread a truckload of mulch and took an afternoon nap in a chair outside. Good stuff.
What does this have to do with a weathered faucet? Absolutely nothing. Happy Monday.

Tea Time
Happy Friday! Time for a tasty styrofoam cup of tea. I love the way the tea infuses the water and settles to the bottom like in this photo.
See you Monday (or maybe over the weekend). Don’t forget to check out Brain (dis)Trust sometime as well. I might post some new stuff soon.
Water Lily in Bloom
In an attempt to redeem myself for the atrocious week named Sepia, I’m posting a photo of the water lily that looked a little sick a few days ago. Note the color this time.
The Nymphaeaceae likes to grow in the warmer months, going dormant in the winter. I had no idea that it is considered an invasive plant, or that it was the national flower of Bangladesh. (Now I do.) Regardless of its reputation, I like it and wouldn’t mind seeing a lot more of them. Maybe it’s time for another trip to Paynes Prairie…
As for a theme week, I’m going to hold off for now, but I think there will be another one next week. If you have any ideas or suggestions, let me know. It could be any theme, just nothing too impossible.
Sepia Week, Day 6: A Day at the Museum
You’re thinking, “What’s with the plant? I thought it was a day at the museum?”
The family and I went for a trip to the Samuel P. Harn museum of art located on the University of Florida campus for a few hours of browsing and some interactive Japanese ink drawing. the courtyard in the middle of the museum provided some great shots, more of which you will see in upcoming days. Tomorrow is the last day of Sepia Week and I couldn’t be happier. This camera phone sepia filter is terrible.
