Non-Feral Cat in a Window
![]()
Somehow, this week started off as crazy cat lady week, but I assure you that this will be the only one for the rest of this week.
If you don’t remember her, this is my cat Nessa (Slayer of Dogs). The name is short for Vanessa, the name she had when I rescued her long ago. Supposedly her name was Hester at one point, because a co-worker saw her and said she was a foster home for her once. Yeah, whatever, I’m not calling my cat Hester. She answers to Nessa, but also Nessie, princess, kitty, hey you, doyouwantsometreats, annoying pest and many others.
But never Hester.
Feral Cat on a Cold Morning
![]()
About the only time I can get remotely close to these feral cats in the neighborhood is when they’re sunning themselves on a cold morning. Even then, this guy ran away right after the photo was taken.
If you’re wondering about the tree behind the cat, that would be the enormous oak in my neighbor’s yard. It’s massive and provides plenty of shade for parking. Never a day with a hot car!
