Paynes Prairie as Seen Through a Nokia 6650

Its time for another round of new photos with a new phone. The Nokia team at WOM World hooked me up once again, this time with the GPS-enabled Nokia 6650. While it only sports a 2 mega-pixel camera, the quality of the shots are not too bad, at least when compared to the the Nokia 3555.

This shot was taken in the morning at my nature hangout on US441, Paynes Prairie. The exposure color is off a bit and it has quite a lot of noise, but again, not bad for a low-end camera. I would think, though, that a phone with so many features would have at least a 3 mega-pixel camera.

I’m also uploading photos and video clips at the Nokia Chronicles website for their 6650 promotion. Unfortunately, the site doesn’t appear to be fully operational, but keep checking back.

  1. Pete,

Looks like the site is operational but it is not yet showing things that you have posted. I will be looking out to see what is posted. My week is the 15th through 21st.

  2. I’m in love with those trees. Mostly, because I know that wherever they are is probably warmer than New Jersey.

  3. We have snow now. I was down south in the Carolinas for Christmas about two years ago and it was kind of weird how warm it was. It was a nice change, but I would miss seasons. Of course shoveling at midnight sucks too.

I would like the camera hook up myself – who did you sleep with for the free camera… ah just kidding.

    Great picture.

  4. Nice shot. Looks like those commercials for the one wine or beer commercial that they have one of those decorated with Christmas lights. It’s the one with the bottle they stick a lemon in in all their other commercials, miles from ordinary or something like that.
