I still want to know what these are. I figured a color image would help in the identification process.

I told you, Pete. They’re yellow mushrooms.
It may be a Lepiota lutea, or the yellow parasol. You may have to keep an eye on them to see if they expand or not, for better verification of what they are.

They don’t look exactly like those, but close. I’m going to drop my kids off tomorrow at school, which is where these mushrooms are. I’ll see if they opened up and snap a photo for posting. Thanks for researching.
