Nope, it’s a drain for a roof.

I like the composition and the lighting of the shot. I am amzed if you really did it with a camera phone.

Every photo on this site is taken with a camera phone, unless otherwise noted. I can only think of maybe two photos that are stock.

Thanks for your compliment!

Another awesome camera phone shot. I love the color of the brick.

I like the color as well, plus the pattern lends a lot to it.

Thanks, I’ll be by sometime to check out your post.

Love the photo but what the heck is the downspout doing there in the middle of the wall and what is it draining?

I enjoy your phone shots!

It’s a roof drain. The wall goes up beyond the roof line a little bit - I cropped that out. If it rained and that drain wasn’t there, it would end up being a rooftop swimming pool. :)

Glad you enjoy it. Come back again soon!

I don’t get it? Really I don’t- I agree with Marsha above me, what is it draining and why is it in the middle of the wall?

See above. If I had left the rooftop intact, it would probably make more sense. When I cropped it, I thought of a person leaning against the wall.

Very cool. I like the way you cropped it. Leaving out the rooftop is what gives it that sense of mystery.

Here’s the big secret - I cropped it out because the sky behind the roof looked horrible. I’m also partial to clean and orderly images as opposed to abstracts, but I’ve been known to deviate.

clever hunny, you even got me that time!

It’s funny how much interpretation is coming out of this photo. When I took it, I figured everyone would think, “Wow, a downspout on a wall.”

I took the Inuyasha test and failed miserably.
