Bad Hair Day

I could have started the new year like Dan and blogged about ground round, but I opted for a less meaty approach - bad hair days.
This camera phone photo was captured at my favorite overlook at Paynes Prairie, a place right alongside a 4-lane highway. It’s an easy trip to get “out of town” within a few minutes, offering up alligators, birds, rabbits and bison. Yeah, bison. What makes the Paynes Prairie overlook interesting is that while you are immersed in nature, the sounds of the birds chirping is accompanied by the whooshing of passing traffic. Quite an interesting combination.
Why start the new year off with this photo? I’m taking the approach that if I post something crazy and disorderly that the year will be opposite that. The whole new year superstition thing has never worked the way it should, so I’m trying a new approach.
I’ll let you know what happens in 364 days.

Ack! I left you out of “Ground Round.” You weren’t listed on my Viral Blogs list. I have now remedied that. Sorry!

Monetizer: Welcome! It’s been too long and I need some monetizing skillz. Thanks for stopping by. Black Eyed Peas? I’ve never heard of that, but if it works, hey, give it a go.
dcr: It’s all good. Thanks.

You’ve picked the perfect title!
Darn, I can’t think of ANYTHING that will insure me good luck in the new year. Maybe I’ll try the peas….

Lynda: I was also thinking something along the lines of bird nest or spaghetti, but bad hair day was the clear winner. Glad you agree!
Phred: Dude, your hair always looks like that. ;D
shiera: Maybe it does, but is there a bird in it as well? You know it’s a bad hair day when birds begin nesting in your hair.

Well, I just think it’s great that you consider that photo “crazy and disorderly.” That’s a good example of why I find your blog so pleasant to visit. It’s tasteful, refreshing, interesting and educational.

Best of luck with that. Cool picture however I enjoy your description about a tad more, actually a half tad. They are both strong.

To be honest, the only reason I used the photo is because of the headline.
