What Do You Want to Learn Today?
Welcome to My GPS Camera Phone! Make sure you don't miss out - subscribe to the RSS feed. After you've left six comments, nofollow tags are lifted, giving you some awesome some link love. Thanks for visiting!
I’ve got some video tutorial topics lined up, but I’m interested in hearing what you might want to see. Is there a particular program you prefer? Is there any particular thing you would like to see explained? I could guess, but I’m more interested in addressing the need, rather than spout on about how much I know (or don’t know) about Photoshop. The tutorials are not intended for professionals, so don’t be shy to ask for even the simplest thing to be explained. It’s a no-pressure environment here.
Another quick reminder: the next tutorial is in Picasa2. If you need it, you can download from the following link. Thanks!

I have one question yes: How do you put a copyright sign into your picture with PICASA?

I have terrible news…as of version 2.7, there is no way to add watermarks in Picasa. That’s a great topic for later, I’ll be sure to keep my eyes open when the next version is released. I can show you this is Photoshop and I think I might just do that!

Err…well…looks like I can’t get Picasa (Mac). So…what if I got a less-than-professional-level version of Photoshop. Would that be worthwhile?

I’m a Mac fan, but I’ve been doing lots on our PC lately, probably because I’m tired of waiting on my G4 to respond. It’s so slow, but so reliable - it never crashes. Ever.
Since this blog is geared toward us regular people, nothing is off-limits or too easy. Are you asking for really simple Photoshop tutorials? If so, tell me what you want to know - it can be as simple as “how to optimize and save for the web.” Just want to clarify. (Actually, I think I’ll do that one sometime. A good topic, thanks for the inspiration!)

No, thanks for offering, but I mean actually having to break down and purchase Photoshop in order to get creative (the google pack didn’t allow for Mac installation). I saw two (or maybe three types of Photoshop, one was for pros (like yourself!) for over 1K (but only for Windows, I believe) another seems to be for simple folk (like me) called Photoshop Elements). Would that be worthwhile? I’ve just been playing around with iPhoto.

I haven’t looked at Elements yet, but if it’s still around, then it must be pretty decent. It didn’t look so hot when it was first released. Photoshop is available for mac also, but you’ll pay the same amount. If all you’re going to do is print family photos and such, I’d save my money. I’ll check out Elements if I get a chance.
