I am guessing it is the full moon behind the clouds. Look forward to to finding out!

when I first looked at it, vampire movies came to mind

i’m so jealous. i can’t tell you how many times i’ve admired the moon and taken numerous shots only to find that none of them showed the picture i took in with my naked eye.
and this is with your camera phone!
beautiful.

You know, I just have to tell ya…
I love your blog. It reminds me that we can find beauty in so many places if we just look for it. And we can even capture it with our camera phones (well, I could never get the stuff you get, but, you know what I mean). You’re an inspiration.
Another great photo, Pete.

How very beautiful… and by coincidence, I have just written a very long comment about the moon over at the Struggling Writer’s blog which I won’t repeat here!

How very spooky!

Happy ww and thanks for sharing this beautiful photo of a Celestial Body. I gave you five stars and that’s all I have to say about this ww photo.
what a beautiful capture!

Nice shot. I saw that full moon (or one similar) just the other nite, but was without my home and my camera. Lucky you caught.
I do like ease of use of Picasa, but I am sure my Photoshopaholic daughter is going to get me/teach me PS soon. A new challenge!

kml: You got it, full moon behind clouds, framed by oak tree branches.
shiera: I never expected this result. When I saw it on the computer screen in a bigger frm, all of that vampire stuff came to mind. Would have been a great Halloween post.
Bry: Like I said, totally unexpected results. Thanks. I nearly deleted this, but decided to give it a go.
bmgmom: Why thank you! And yes, you can get the same results. Stay tuned for more how-to posts. It’s one of the blog expansions I had planned.
Kat: I know, isn’t that awesome? Before I adjusted the levels, it didn’t look too good, but upon lightening, it was like an eye opening up on my screen.
Diane: Weird…coincidence, or something bigger? That quantum theory stuff always makes me think way more than I’m used to. Maybe my other self lives in Dorset and I’m your neighbor who makes too much noise, especially on nights with a full moon.
Leatherboots: Pun intended? (You gave me 5 stars…lol)
And Miles to Go: Thank you!
Vixen: It was the same full moon, just in a different part of the sky. Photoshop is nice, but don’t try to be a master at first – it can get overwhelming very quickly.
Shelia: It certainly got me thinking. Thanks for your visit!
Daisy: Just a little bit spooky?
AntiBarbie: Somehow I had a feeling that this one would appeal to you.
Nice! I like this and it should of been a Halloween post. You rule as always.
What a neat shot!
My Wordless Wednesday is up too!

I can see myself lying on a blanket staring up at the moon and counting the stars.
Lovely.
I love the mood of this photo. I feel like standing outside and staring up right now, thanks to you.

Everyone: I’d address each individually, but I’m buried at the moment (not literally). Thanks for stopping by – I’ll try to get to all of your sites this weekend. To clarify the image, it is the full moon with trees and some cloud cover.
If you’re wondering, yes, all the photos I post are taken with a camera phone. Neato, huh?
