I’d like to know how you got that shot.
Happy WW!

Yes, where were you when you shot that? (I know — “up high.”) Seriously, it’s amazingly sharp. I can hardly believe it was taken with a camera phone.
it is really lovely..glad you posted today

Interesting! The name of your blog caught my eye so I had to peek.
I really like this shot. I would love to know how you got the shot also. Oh by the way you have been given an award. You can come by and pick it up when you have the chance.
Is that a bowling ball? LOL! Hey man. I tagged you–hard! So recognize. Is that a picture of a picture, because it seems strangely implausable. If not, dude you are extreme.

Hugs!
First, I’d like to express my thanks to Opal for passing on the Shibumi award to me. This is my second one! This is truly the stuff that keeps me going, knowing that someone finds a little bit of joy in what I post. Thank you Opal, I truly appreciate it.
Second, I’ll address the lot of comments as one, as opposed to replying individually. I hardly expected to see such commonality in your comments, but I never know what to expect in the comments. So here we go…
The shot is from my 4th floor office window. The object below is a ramp that approaches the building from the parking lot. I often stare out the window and watch the traffic go by on I-75, but this time I looked down for some time. The shadows were just right and the angles popped out like I had never seen them before. A few trial shots and I got the one above.
Regarding picture quality, I do a little bit of work on all of my posted photos in either Adobe Photoshop or Picasa2, depending on how lazy I am at the time. (Picasa is easy, but a bit restrictive for some shots.) It never goes beyond some sharpening, color adjustment and cropping. If I do go beyond that, I’ll be sure to note it in the post. Keep in mind that it’s not the camera that takes the pictures, but the person behind it. A main point of this photo blog is to do as much as possible with as little as possible. I’ve gotten to know my camera phone pretty well and I’m actually taking quite a liking to it. Check out my about page for more.
And thank you all for your comments and visit!
Now, Joe, I accept your challenge as you have accepted mine in the past. An eye for an eye. If this continues, we’ll be blind in no time. I hope the wrath and fury of my highly refined and agile meme-fu does not damage your chi. Meditate on the source and you should be fine. A good Cabernet helps also.
I totally dig this one!
It’s got “character”!

Wow, methinks someone REALLY doesn’t want people walking on their grass, eh?

Jon: the color version of it sucked. Amazing what a little desaturation will do to a photo. Thanks and gimboody!
Phred: I know, it’s crazy! If you didn’t notice the filename, it’s “escape route.jpg.” Seriously prison-like.
