One man’s trash is another man’s photo opportunity. Or woman’s, in this case.
Once again, my lovely wife has provided me with some material for your enjoyment. By the way, she has the exact same phone as me, so her submissions are sticking to my self-imposed guidelines of this site. When I did smoke many years ago, I always wondered why people would ditch their butts out the window or on the ground. I’d sometimes witness these same people dropping a butt and then recycling an empty soda can. I don’t get it.

The shading and contrast in Black and White makes this an interesting photo. As for Messy Smokers they sure give all Smokers a bad name.

Leatherboots: Yeah, I do know some smokers that are actually considerate to the non-smokers and the environment. They don’t even smoke in their own homes.
shiera: In this case, my wife, Nancy, is really good at taking pictures. The beauty of photography is that you can take the biggest eyesore and turn it into art. I’ll pass along your compliments to her. :)

what a cool and interesting photo. kudos to nancy on her skills.
would you believe that, when i was at UCF, i would actually pick up discarded butts and jog up to the person who’d tossed ‘em and say, ‘oh hey…wait! you dropped something!’ go to hand it to them, and when they looked at me like i was nuts? ‘oh, ok…i’ll just throw that in the garbage can..you know, where GARBAGE goes. i know that’s what you meant to do with it!’ all cheery.
yeah, i had to wash my hands A LOT. ;)

I’ll pass on your compliments. If this keeps up, I’ll have to pass the site to her!
When I used to ride road bikes (the kind you have to pedal), some guys would actually pick up butts that drivers would toss out. When they caught up to them at the next traffic light, they would toss the butt back into the person’s open car window. Needless to say, there were many confrontations. Thankfully, I never witnessed one.

Its cause they are morons Pete…morons. I get disgusted at traffic signals and look to the ground and see the street and nearby grassy island or what have you covered in butts. Oh yeah, cool pic. ;)

I could fill a dump truck with butts in a few hours. And that’s at one intersection.
