Shells from the Past

As Florida used to be underwater, one would expect to find many ocean-like things in unexpected places. This is a photo of a rock near my kids’ school that is covered in fossilized shells. I could look at this rock all day. I wonder how long these shells have waited to be photographed?
I’ll have to post some shots of the fossilized coral in my garden. It’s amazing.
